Dear readers,
I know we all have reasons to be in this business...providing for our families first and foremost. But yesterday was one of those moments when you confirm there are other reasons.
I was approached in the office by a four-year-old boy, who was entertaining himself while his parents worked on an offer for one of my listings. I had already met the parents, but was unaware they had this cute little boy.
The child looked up at me and said, "Are you the man helping my Mommy and Daddy buy a house so I can have a dog?"
It was all I could do to hold back a tear as I reflected the boys words.
We accepted the contract last night, and I have a good idea what might make a good closing gift (I'm going to pay for their adoption at the Brazos County Animal Shelter).
