Dear readers,
A new restaurant opened in College Station, Texas during the summer that many folks don't yet know of. The Republic 1836 is located in the Chimney Hill Shopping Center, conveniently next to the new Keller Williams Realty Brazos Valley office.
This location originally housed The Confederate House, a fine dining restaurant which opened in 1983. Later, it housed The Tavern. The building is furnished in warm woods and deep carpeting.
The lounge is perfect for a quiet cocktail or business meeting. There are booths specifically designed for those quiet meetings.
The menu is upscale with prices to match. I tend for the steaks, and haven't been disappointed.
