Texas A&M has a new football coach, less than three days after Coach Dennis Franchione resigned.
Houston Texans' offensive coordinator Mike Sherman has been named head coach of the Texas A&M football team.
Sherman will receive a seven-year contract paying $1.8 million annually. The contract must be approved by the A&M System Board of Regents, scheduled to next meet December 6th and 7th.
